A first idea: Make a small original courier mission as a separate content plugin, using existing ships and assets. Test its appearance, acceptance and completion in one named release.

Give this brief to your own assistant. It includes the pinned source, original credit, setup, reuse terms and a first task.

What you need

Source and game content are in the upstream repository; building the engine still requires external tools and dependencies. Editable source artwork may have separate origins recorded in copyright.

  1. Use an official desktop release to play. Content plugins offer a smaller first remix than compiling the engine.
  2. Engine changes require Git, a C++ toolchain, CMake and the dependencies in the pinned build guide.
  3. Keep plugin compatibility with the release you actually test; the pinned source snapshot may be newer.

Pinned README, code licence and per-file copyright inventory inspected. Desktop installation, engine build, plugin compatibility and gameplay have not been tested by Game Commons.

  • A public repository is not an MIT grant: retain GPL source terms and each asset's own notices.
  • Existing saves and plugins can be release-sensitive; test with a separate pilot save.

HOW ONE GAME CAN ENTER ANOTHER

Real cross-game bridges.

These external mods demonstrate character, mechanics and world integration. Their open code does not include the original commercial games. They are references for the technique, separate from the reusable game catalogue above.

Minecraft inside GTA V

A Minecraft/GTA bridge example using game-side plugins, shared state and depth compositing while both games run.

By rehan-remade and Universal Modder contributors · MIT framework and example code; retain component notices

Requirements & source

Your own compatible Minecraft Java and GTA V installs. No GTA or Minecraft game data is provided by Game Commons.

Complex experimental native toolchain; the creator documents GTA Story Mode/offline use. This is an external source reference, not a browser player.

The example README explicitly credits Claude Code; that is the creator’s disclosure, not an independent authorship audit.
